Free Advertising Opportunity

I am trying to get next week’s podcast completed but I need some help. I am offering some advertising opportunities here in our blog and podcast. I am looking for Valentine’s Day Ideas - it could be a treat for your kids, a treat for your husband, something kids can do for their valentines, a fun simple recipe or activity for Valentines Day - it could be a Valentine’s Day article that you read (just make sure that you wrote the article - we DO NOT want to get into any trouble - if you know what I mean) … things like that. How do I want it … in audio format. Here’s how it works - if you would like to participate, simply call in (214) 615-6505 ext 6691 and leave an audio about your idea/tip/suggestion/audio article - make sure to start off by saying your name and your website and make sure to repeat your website URL - if you need to spell it out. Please limit audio to no longer than 5 minutes. If you would rather record your own audio, you can just send me that audio file via email. If your audio is selected, it will be added to next week’s Podcast - I will also make sure to add your link to the show notes. I will accept audios until Saturday, 02/09/08 - Any takers?

Will you be a caroler for a good cause?

This is the 3rd year I am hosting Carol for a Cause. It is a unique fundraiser where I recruit carolers to sing a Xmas tune. Once the songs are compiled, I set up a site which is live for 12 days only - starting Dec. 13, 2007. All donations will be sent to Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. All those who donate will be given access to where they can listen to and enjoy the Xmas Carols and will also be sent to a Thank You page filled with awesome downloadable gifts. Below is a clip of last years carols - take the time to enjoy the snippets of Holiday tunes - just click on the play button.

If you would like to join in the fun by singing a Christmas carol - feel free to reply to this post or send me an email. I would love to have you join us. If you would like to donate a downloadable gift, email me as well. The downloadable gift will be given to all those who donate to our cause.

I really enjoy doing this each year - the ladies who volunteered to sing last year were awesome - some sang with their kids, some with their their hubbies. So will you help us out this year?

I will be blogging about this and will make sure to let you know when the site goes live so you can listen to the carols and get some fun gifts too!

Today is National Boss Day

Did you know that Oct. 16, is declared as “National Boss Day”? Below is a quotation I found while surfing the web about National Boss Day …

“Nothing so conclusively proves a man’s ability to lead others as what he does from day to day to lead himself.” ~Thomas J. Watson

I have been a work at home mom for over 3 years now and I am loving it! I love being the BOSS - being able to make decisions (of course sometimes it is difficult) and watching the consequences from those decisions made (sometimes it is scary or disappointing when you make the wrong decisions). But … I will never trade my JOB for anything else. I am the BOSS and I am proud! To all the other work-at-home individuals out there - Happy Boss’s Day!
