Monday Mommy Tip - Make Store Bought Look Homemade
It’s the holiday season and whether you like it or not - people expect gifts - lol. Well, here is a quick tip that I’m sure you can use for the holiday season. Make store bought goodies look like you made it from home. What am I talking about? Baked goodies! Go to your local grocery store, buy some cookies from the bakery (not the commercially packaged ones like orea’s or chips ahoy) re-package them in nice holiday baggies and voila - instant “homemade” treats. You will now have “sweet gifts” for neighbors, teachers, friends, the postman and co-workers.

Great tip, but I also wanted to add, make sure you read the ingredients from the goodies. Someone might ask you if they contain something in particular and you won’t know for sure unless you have taken notes of the ingredients.
Great idea Wendy - yup, you want to make sure you know what’s in it so that you do not give it to anyone who may have an allergic reaction to it - “nuts” or “peanut butter” is a common thing that people may have an allergic reaction to.
I would try that but everyone pretty much knows that I am NOT baking any cookies. But it is a nice little short cut!
My tip is:
Buy a few bags of powdered cookie mix, various kinds, and some extra filler ingredients (chocolate chips, coconut, walnuts, etc.) layer the mix with some filler ingredients in glass jars (mason jars, jelly jars, decorative jars, etc.) tie a red ribbon around the top and VOILA!! Instant holiday gifts!
