Will you help your fellow WAHM in need?

My friend Kelly has posted a plea in her blog yesterday. Kelly is trying to help raise funds for Tishia - A fellow work at home mom who is in a pinch and could really use some help. Tishia is a single mom who works from home who was surprised by her electric company with a $769 electric bill. This bill came about when the electric company realized that they were undercharging Tishia for the past 2 years. I do not think it’s Tishia’s fault if the electric company undercharged her - they were the ones reading the meter and they should make sure that their meters read right - if the meter is broken, it’s their responsibility to fix it. Of course, Tishia will have to pay for the bill (for what she owes) but, I don’t think it’s fair for the electric company to charge her and expect her to pay - one lump sum. I hope they can figure out some kind of payment arrangement. As a fellow work at home mom, I can understand what a shock this could be - reading a bill - charging you so much money.
