Do you ever take a moment to stare at you living room carpet? Have you ever wondered why and how quick it gets dirty. Well, your living room is normal - it’s meant to be lived in - thus the look of your carpet … perhaps you have some visible spill marks and accumulation of dust and foreign objects. Below are a few tips you can adapt to keep your carpet clean.

- Vacuum often.
- If anything spills on the carpet, take a paper towel and pat it down on the spill. The paper towel will absorb the spill.
- Consider having a door mat. Have your family members wipe their shoes to keep dirt from being tracked into the house.
- If you can, do not allow anyone to eat in the living room.

These are just some preventive measure to avoid soiling your carpet. But , please remember (especially if you have kids in your home), your home is meant to be lived in, so accidental spills and mess-ups will happen.Relax, take a deep breath and don’t stress over it. Just attend the the spillage or mess right away and remember to set some rules for the entire family to follow so they can help keep the carpet clean.
