Mom Blogger Interview: Krystle from Home Jobs by MOM

Today we want you to meet Krystle from Home Jobs by MOM.

Tell us about your blog.
My blog, Home Jobs by MOM, explores the many jobs of a mom. Have you really thought of all the things a mom does on a regular basis? I’ve been a incubator, a chauffeur, a teacher, a mediator, a chef, an event planner, a maid, a financial planner-lets face it …the list could go on and on.

Us moms do so many things with no pay. There’s that saying if you added up all the money a mom would receive for doing all that she does she’d be making nearly three figures. Man, that would be nice! Wouldn’t it?

On second thought, we do get paid! We get paid with the best things like kisses, hugs, great expressions, classic one liners, and “I Love You Mommy’s” which are better than anything monetary we could receive.

Why did you start blogging?
I started this blog because I enjoy writing and want to help other moms with the daily things they face. I was a member of eHow until Demand Studios bought them. I really loved writing eHows but I just couldn’t get into Demand Studios platform.

When I did decide to give it a shot there were never any article titles available and so I decided to start a blog instead. I figured by having my own blog I could write about whatever I wanted and not be stuck into certain topics or layouts. I can be my own boss in a sense and can help other mother’s with some of the many questions they face as well. It’s a win win.

I want to help moms and moms to be by giving them useful information about the various jobs a mom does from ones that earn real money to those that receive “kid payments”.

I am one of those people that often ask a lot of questions. If I don’t know how to do something I research and research until I figure out how to do it. I bet some of you have had some of the same questions I have had. Haven’t you? This site hopes to help fellow moms and moms to be out by answering some of those questions.

What are your goals for your blog going forward?
I hope that my blog can grow and thrive in the future as I learn the ropes of the blogging world. But more importantly I hope people find it useful.

Are you active in Social Media? What do you enjoy about it?
You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest. I love using social media to connect and gain followers

If you had to pick a favorite post on your blog what would it be and why do you like it best?
I am a new blogger but one of my favorite posts so far is Fertility Signs: You Want Me to Put my Finger Where?  because it show cases one of my favorite topics-fertility.

Mom Blogger Interview: Pamela from Still Dating My Spouse

Today we want you to meet Pamela from Still Dating My Spouse.

Tell us about your blog.
Still Dating My Spouse (SDMS) is a concept to keep the flames burning through dating just as they did when you first meet, went out on the first date, or even when you use to just hold hands.

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging out of the need for a real site for couples to learn and understand about dating our spouses and the benefits of doing that on a daily basis.

When life gets hectic, from working and parenting, we sometimes neglect our personal relationships especially the ones that are really close to us-our marriage. Divorces are at an all time high and most will say they divorced because they grew apart.

SDMS is helping couples stay connected. Our motto is Reconnect, Renew, and Restore Marriages.

What are your goals for your blog going forward?
My goals are:
1. To continue to help couples date and build strong marriages
2. To offer marital and married dating resources to couples
3. To grow into a community of couples helping each other

Are you active in Social Media?  What do you enjoy about it?

yes, I enjoy networking on all my social media sites. I get to me a diverse group of people that share a common goal: Building strong marriages

If you had to pick a favorite post on your blog what would it be and why do you like it best?

Mom Blogger Interview: Anna from Mama Writes

Today we want you to meet Anna from Mama Writes.

Tell us about your blog.

My blog is about being a mom and writing from home as a blogger while taking care of my daughter. I offer funny real life stories about parenting, give reviews and do giveaways that are of interest to all moms and families.

I also write about interesting offers for moms as well as post fun photos and occasional recipes. It’s a blog for other moms who want some entertainment and/or mom tips as well as offers on useful products.

Why did you start blogging?

I began blogging because when I first became a mom I found myself searching the internet for information and advice from real moms who have experienced what I have.

I then realized that I also wanted to provide this info to other moms since I now have had some experience being a mom (my daughter is almost 4). I also came to really like the mom blogging community and wanted to be a part of it by starting my own blog.

What are your goals for your blog going forward?

I would love to grow my audience and continue to offer moms and families fun stories they can relate to, as well as offers, reviews and giveaways that they can use. I want to reach as many readers as I can by offering useful and quality content.

Are you active in Social Media? What do you enjoy about it?

I am active with Facebook and Twitter. I like both of these because they give me a chance to showcase my articles as well as connect with other bloggers and find out about other moms and great articles that I may not discover otherwise.

If you had to pick a favorite post on your blog what would it be and why do you like it best?

My current favorite post is this one:
You Don’t Have To Be a Susie Homemaker to Be a Good Mom (or Mom Blogger)

I like it because it sort of sums up what my blog is about and what I’d like to accomplish as a blogger.

Mom Blogger Interview: Cicely from The Single Momtrepeneur.

Today we want you to meet Cicely from The Single Momtrepeneur.

Tell us about your blog.

I began this blog in September 2010. My blog chronicles my life as a 24 year old, educated single mom trying to navigate through life with a toddler, juggle my dreams and possibly find love.

I talk about plus size modeling, fashion, parenting issues, dating as a single mom, my weight loss journey,culture/ethnicity and finding myself as a young woman.

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging because I needed an outlet for my frustrations and to find a community of people I could relate to going through the same things I was.

I was originally going to tell my story of a single mom going through law school with a toddler, but life showed me another way in which I can help people.

What are your goals for your blog going forward?

I would love to expand my blog and continue to reach people and hopefully one day turn my blog into a book to share my story with the world.

Are you active in Social Media? What do you enjoy about it?

Yes! My blog has a Facebook page, I have a twitter account and also Google+. I enjoy being able to connect with other moms, people and companies. I love being able to interact with people who share similar interests.

If you had to pick a favorite post on your blog what would it be and why do you like it best?

This is my favorite type of post to do. I just take a bunch of random, not posed pictures of me and my son and they always end up making a kind of photo miniseries. This is one of our most recent ones.

Today we want you to meet Lydia from Five 4 Five Meals (and more).

Tell us about your blog.

I believe good living shouldn’t cost a fortune and that there are practical solutions to problems that won’t break the bank. The basis is cooking for a family of four for less than $5 per person per meal. I make cooking videos and recipe break downs. I also have fun posts about gardening, gifting and living.

Why did you start blogging?

I had a baby and quit my job as a newspaper reporter. I needed something to fill the void.

What are your goals for your blog going forward?

I want to bring in more readers and build a sense of community. I want people to share recipes with me and I can show them how to make it cheaper and healthier.

Are you active in Social Media? What do you enjoy about it?

I have twitter, Google+ and Facebook. I appreciate the ease to reach a a larger audience.

If you had to pick a favorite post on your blog what would it be and why do you like it best?

This is a recipe I made up for fish tacos. My husband loves them and they are cheap. I made a demo video for the taco and my baby is so cute in it. I love sharing it with friends across the county who don’t get to see my little boy.
