Sponsored Video: Tillamook Cheese, Texas Horns

Tillamook Cheese continues it’s quest to bond with Texans by introducing them to their delicious cheese! In this clip, you see our company spokesmen attempting to get some Texas horns mounted to the roof of their Baby Loaf van, in an effort to fit in with their surroundings.

The spokesmen are both funny and engaging while presenting their cheese in a confident manner. This pride is congruent with the company’s very nature – a farmer-owned cooperative that keeps it’s profits within the family of farmers who have invested their livelihood in Tillamook Cheese.

Farmer-owned and with a commitment to quality, it’s easy to see how Tillamook Cheese is the West coast’s most popular brand of natural cheese.

You can buy Tillamook’s cheese and other products like yogurt, sour cream, butter and ice cream at retail stores nationwide.

Mom Blogger Interview: Farrah from a Fullfilled Mommy

Meet Farrah from A Fulfilled Mommy.

Tell us about your blog.

My blog has become a little bit of everything. It’s my space to share about topics that I am passionate about such as breastfeeding, natural childbirth, congenital heart diease awareness, and other things family-friendly.

Why did you start blogging?

I’ve always loved to write since about age six and when I grew up, that’s what I wanted to be. For many years, I kept a personal blog, but for some reason just quit using it. When I came across the whole mom blog thing, I thought it’d be a good way for me to have my own creative outlet. That way I could still be “me” on top of being a mom and a wife.

What are your goals for your blog going forward?

Currently I’m trying to improve my content and readership. My blog is small and I don’t want to have high numbers just for the sake of numbers, but to have readers who truly enjoy my content.

Are you active in Social Media? What do you enjoy about it?

I am– to an extent. I use Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ as networking tools. It has really taught me a lot about things I am interested in and it does help you connect with other bloggers.

If you had to pick a favorite post on your blog what would it be and why do you like it best?

I think my favorite post is one of my earlier ones because it frames my current mindset. Spring isn’t too far away, the weather will be warming up, and new things will be happening. I absolutely love looking back on the pictures of my children.

Mom Blogger Interview: Sonia from LogAllot

Today we want you to meet Sonia from LogAllot.

Tell us about your blog

LogAllot offers new bloggers a definitive approach to blogging with blogging tips, marketing strategies, blog critiques and blog design advice.

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging on accident and it turned into a labor of love. With blogging, I had no idea of all the information I had already acquired in Corporate marketing that could help me build a blog. Now, I use what I have learned to help others with easy tips that they can implement in their blog.

Starting a new blog is not for everyone. You either have the passion to whether the storm early on or you will successfully fail. Finding your niche or place online is something only you can do. No other blogger or website can make you be successful or give you that magic niche to make you tons of money.

Find your passion, build it slowly and learn all you can. Read other blogs, write great content, network and strive to build solid relationships online. Never give up because nothing happens overnight.

What are your goals for your blog going forward?

Add new products built for new bloggers and blog conference participation.

Are you active in Social Media? What do you enjoy about it?

Yes, I enjoy Twitter and Facebook immensely because it allows me to network with other bloggers, read new content and build my community. I am an advocate of going outside my niche and I read everything from Mom blogs to corporate blogs. This type of diversity is what helps me stay on top of the different methods people use and how it can ultimately enhance my blog.

If you had to pick a favorite post on your blog what would it be and why do you like it best?

The Biggest Mistake I Made As A Blogger Was…  When I started my blog a year ago, I had no idea I would be where I am today. The mistakes I made early on were minimal compared to what I see bloggers do today. This post helped me realize I was not the only blogger out there making simple mistakes and how I could offer solutions that add value, make new friends online and build alliances with other bloggers that I might not have networked with before.

Mom Blogger Interview: Heather from RETRO-Fabulous Blog

We’re pleased to introduce you to Heather from RETRO-Fabulous Blog.

Tell us about your blog.

My blog began as way for me to keep track of a large quilting project, known to take years {even decades in some cases} called Dear Jane. It’s a sampler of very small blocks and triangles featuring applique and intricate piecing. While on DJ hiatus, the blog grew to include other interests such as gluten free cooking, gardening, kid friendly crafts, simple sewing and tutorials.

Why did you start blogging?

I began RETRO-Fabulous at the suggestion of a cyber friend on twitter. She helped guide me early on and still sends kind notes of encouragement. Now I’m passing on that kindness to a real life friend who just took her first blogspot addy.

What are your goals for your blog going forward?

Going forward, I’d like to find a larger audience (what blogger wouldn’t?) and increase the amount of feedback/comments. Now that I have regular readers catching posts via email, comments are considerably lower than they have been.

Are you active in Social Media? What do you enjoy about it?

Social media has been a great way to network with others. I particularly like Twitter and Pinterest. They appeal to my freakishly visual side {especially Pinterest!} and allow instant collaboration on projects with people who are considered experts in their fields.

If you had to pick a favorite post on your blog what would it be and why do you like it best?

I struggled with choosing a favorite post…after all the work in creating them, it’s difficult to pick just one. I would have to say my favorite page is definitely the Dear Jane page, but for an individual article, I’d have to go with the International Quilt Festival at Rosemont/Chicago. My husband surprised me with a day there {and even remembered to pack my camera}. I had the chance to meet Judie and Bob Rothermel….Judie is my favorite fabric designer, hands down all time fave. I picked up lots of goodies from the vendors and had a wonderful time seeing all the displayed quilts.

Mom Blogger Interview: Rita of Healthy Mom Sexy Wife

Meet Rita of Healthy Mom Sexy Wife.

Tell us about your blog.

Healthy Mom Sexy Wife is all about fitness tips and information, recipes and clean eating, personal wellness and motherhood

Why did you start blogging?

I had a blog when my oldest son was born in 2008 but I wasn’t very active. When I decided to become a personal trainer to help other moms I decided to create another blog. This time it is more focused and I’m quite active because I am so passionate about the material.

What are your goals for your blog going forward?

I would love to help teach others about clean eating because I really felt like I knew how to eat healthy but I was misinformed and undereducated. Additionally, I want to help women and moms in particular learn that you don’t have to spend hours each day working out to get in shape.

Are you active in Social Media? What do you enjoy about it?

Right now I’m not super social because I’m still developing my blog and content. I’m on Facebook and Twitter once or twice a day. I enjoy “meeting” other people.

If you had to pick a favorite post on your blog what would it be and why do you like it best?

I really like my post called “The Secret to Being Sexy” because I think it sends a positive message that taking care of yourself, especially selfless moms, is extremely important.
